Jobvite resume parsing — how it reads your resume, and how to pass

Jobvite is a mid-market/enterprise ATS (owned by Employ Inc.) with strong social-recruiting and referral roots.

Jobvite parses your resume with DaXtra into a searchable candidate record, but its sharper edge is screening: knockout questions are scored and weighted, and a candidate filtered out that way is often rejected with no email. Format cleanly, and answer the screening questions as carefully as you write your bullets.

How Jobvite parses a resume

What the parser does well, and what trips it up — so you format for how it actually reads.

Jobvite confirms the DaXtra resume parser is embedded in its products; the parse populates your searchable candidate record.
Pre-screening / knockout questions are scored and weighted. A candidate rejected through them has their status set to Rejected and often receives no rejection email.
Heavy-design PDFs (including some LaTeX exports) have been reported to fail auto-parsing — prefer a .docx or a clean text PDF.
Will Jobvite auto-reject you?

Jobvite's automatic rejection comes from weighted knockout questions, not from your resume's keyword content.

How to format a resume for Jobvite

Three concrete fixes that make the biggest difference in this system.

Use a single-column .docx or text PDF with no tables or columns.
Answer screening and knockout questions accurately and completely — they're scored, and failing one can silently reject you.
Put exact keywords and skills in the body under standard headings, and spell out acronyms.
