Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy applies to paid subscriptions to JuicedResume, operated by Harshit Singh (sole proprietor, operating as JuicedResume). It is written to comply with Indian consumer-protection law (Consumer Protection Act, 2019) and Reserve Bank of India guidelines for recurring payments.

1. Cancellation: how to cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason:

  • In-app: Settings → Billing → "Manage" opens your Polar customer portal. Click "Cancel plan".
  • By email: write to support@juicedresume.com from the email on your account. We will process within 1 business day.

2. When cancellation takes effect

  • Monthly plans: cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. You retain full access until that date.
  • Annual plans: cancellation takes effect at the end of the annual term. You retain full access until that date.
  • No further charges are made after cancellation takes effect.

3. Refund eligibility

3.1 First-time 7-day money-back guarantee

If you are a first-time subscriber, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial payment, no questions asked. Email support@juicedresume.com within the 7-day window with your account email and we will process the refund within 5–7 business days.

3.2 Beyond the 7-day window

We do not offer prorated refunds for unused portions of a monthly or annual billing period after the 7-day window. This includes:

  • Cancelling mid-month after the 7-day window.
  • Cancelling an annual plan after the 7-day window.
  • Downgrading from Pro to Basic mid-period.

Your subscription continues to provide its features until the end of the period you've paid for.

3.3 Exceptions where we always refund

We will issue a refund (full or prorated) outside the 7-day window in these circumstances:

  • Duplicate charges due to a billing error on our side.
  • Service unavailability for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our infrastructure failure (not third-party outages).
  • Fraudulent charges where the cardholder did not authorise the payment.

4. Refund process

  1. Email support@juicedresume.com from the email on your account with the subject "Refund request".
  2. Include: account email, approximate payment date, and reason (optional within the 7-day window).
  3. We acknowledge within 1 business day.
  4. If approved, the refund is initiated through Polar (our payments processor and Merchant of Record) within 2 business days.
  5. The payment network takes 5–10 business days to return funds to your card/bank. Timing depends on your card issuer.

5. Data after cancellation

When you cancel, your account becomes a Free-plan account at the end of the billing period. Your resumes are retained but limited to the Free plan's quota (1 active resume; older resumes archived). To permanently delete your account, see Privacy Policy → Your rights.

6. Disputes & escalation

If you believe your refund request was wrongly denied, you may:

  • Reply to our response email with additional context. We re-review within 3 business days.
  • Escalate via your card issuer's chargeback / dispute mechanism if applicable.
  • Lodge a consumer complaint through the National Consumer Helpline (1915 or consumerhelpline.gov.in).
